Stephanie Six, the Assistant Director of Operations for MSU Global Health Studies programs, has been awarded the 2026 Ruth Jameyson Above and Beyond Award by Michigan State University. The award, given annually by MSU HR through nominations of MSU staff, recognizes an MSU staff member who is actively pursuing a graduate degree alongside their employment at the university.
While managing and advising students in Global Health Studies’ undergraduate and graduate programs, Stephanie has been pursuing a doctorate in education technology at Central Michigan University, maintaining a 4.00 GPA and graduating in May of 2026.

“Stephanie has always strived to be the best she can be in her role and beyond,” says Dr. Rebecca Malouin, Director of the Global Health Institute and Stephanie’s supervisor. “Her outstanding contributions at MSU and her dedication to her studies at CMU show the drive and leadership needed to receive this recognition, and I can’t think of a better person to receive it."
The Global Health Institute is extremely proud of Dr. Six and her commitment to GHI, MSU and her professional growth.
